| Dimensions | This water bottle has all the right features: Double insulation, stainless steel interior, straw for easy face forward drinking while doing any activity (but really important when driving), no need to deal with taking caps on/off, and integrated handle for easy carrying. Rubber bottom I think has also saved the bottle from collecting dings and allows the bottle to be silent when placing on a desk (good for use in an office environment).Fits in most cup holders, especially if you take off bottom rubber piece. Would be slightly better if was maybe 2 millimeters smaller in diameter so that I could always leave the rubber piece on in any car.I use it exclusively for water and you wouldn’t want to use for hot drinks due to the straw.Had this for two years and no paint has chipped off on exterior so far.As long as bottle interior (straw and stainless steel components) doesn’t leach any chemicals into my water, I don’t think I would buy any other water bottle brand. I’m going by the manufacturers labels, and assume materials in this water bottle are as safe as others of similar make. |

Each bottle produced 46.9 degree water after 16 hours. The Takeya weighs . 87 lbs. lighter then the 1.16 lb Yeti. Takeya is slightly slimmer and easier to hold. Takeya hold 24 oz of water, Yeti 18-20oz. Takeya was less expensive and has a no slip bottom.BUT: the Takeya leaked! You’ll see in the picture. The silicone ring keeps falling off and won’t make a solid seal to prevent leaking. Sadly it will be returned. |
