I have 5 Hydroflasks all from local stores or breweries. The molding of this one is different and the logo is missing the circle “R”, registered trademark symbol as is the name. Go to a local store and look at them, this circle R will be on all of them. By the way I’ve purchased two from here, one has R mark.Moving on. The lid is fairly watertight unless you grab the thing and shake the hell out of it upside down. Why would you do that? Laying on its side it doesnt leak.Seems okay, need to do a comparison between my local sporting goods purchased 32oz and this one to see if there is a difference in maintaining frozen ice. |

I love the straw, it makes everything so easy. The straw never detaches like another brand I tried. It doesn’t sweat or have any condensation, UNLESS it is upside down, then the black top part does have some condensation. But NO leaking even when upside down. It’s amazing. My favorite part- it’s so easy to clean. A previous brand I tried got disgusting and moldy because the soft plastic pieces wouldn’t come clean. This is easy to scrub, I use my bottle brush set. I have had it for months, use it daily, and have no signs of mold or wear. It looks brand new. |

| Power Source | I ALWAYS have water on me, no matter what or where I go, I always would have a Nalgene bottle that I filled two-thirds full the night before and froze. I actually had 4 different bottles that I would rotate so I always had one ready and available. I would take it out in the morning and fill the remainder with water, and I would have ice cold water all day long….or at least, until it started to melt, hence the reason I had multiple bottles that I could switch out when it wasn’t cold anymore. I had been told for quite some time now that I should get a Hydro Flask, but I liked my frozen bottles, I didn’t think I would like the Hydro Flash as much as my system, that it wouldn’t be cold enough. And the cost made me hesitate as well. I finally broke down and bought one about a week ago, and now I see what all the hype is about. NOTE: if you want ice cold water, you need to put ice in it, but it absolutely stays that way for a LONG time. The first day I used it, I just put water in it and stuck it in the fridge overnight, thinking that would get it how I like it, but it does not. The temp the liquid is when you put it in the bottle is the temp it will stay. So once I realized that, I just filled up the bottle with ice and then add my water, and it’s perfect all day long. I don’t have to refill the ice too often, it’s only about a quarter to half melted by the next morning. There’s a part of me that still misses my frozen bottle, but it never stayed like that for too long, especially if there was a fan on blowing against the bottle (I often keep a fan pointed at me when I’m at work because my office gets very warm in the afternoons). Plus, the Hydro Flask doesn’t have ANY condensation, so I don’t have to put my bottle on a coaster or paper towel or whatever. Definitely worth the buy!!! |
