| Model Number | I have another Hydro flask with a straw lid and it works great for cold drinks and doesn’t leak even when upside down. I was so sold on Hydro flask I bought this one for my morning coffee and other hot drinks as it comes with that type of flip top lid for hot drinks and is the perfect size for morning coffee. It does a great job in keeping my drinks hot for several hours, however like other reviewers I feel this lid needs serious reworking. Every time I drink coffee I get a brown nose from the condensation on the flip top, and it leaks terribly, not just from the top but the seal does not seem to be quite right so liquid drips down the sides even when the lid is screwed on tight. Not sure how this is happening. I hand wash the bottom and always put the tops in the top rack dishwasher every few days. This never affected the seal on my straw top lid.Addendum: I discovered by looking at my other flask that the silicone gasket was missing. It must have fallen off in the dishwasher and then not realizing what it belonged to, got tossed. So that is why it is leaking from the seal, but my review of the flip top still stands as leaky and faulty. |
| Color | Always wanted the hydro flask product. I was looking for something for my coffee and decided to finally buy this product and give it a try (even though there are similar products out there that are cheaper). Anyways, been using this product for about 3 weeks and loved the fact that it kept things cold and warm for long time and the size is perfect for me. Looks very sturdy and easier to use. However, one day I noticed that there was coffee leaking from the lid, and I thought may be I did not close the lid tight enough. It happened again and I kind of ignored it thinking it was just my fault again. Today I closed the lid very tight and made sure it won’t leak, but when I tilted my mug the coffee was leaking through the lid. May be I got a faulty lid or the product it overrated. But I recommend not to spend too much money for an average product. There are better mugs or insulated bottles out there that are cheap and does better job than this. |

Also, the little vent hole clogs with liquid and drastically reduces the flow (you have to blow it out which gets liquid everywhere). I only hand wash this but somehow lost the ring seal inside the lid without knowing it and have no idea where it went. I thought the lid screwed on a little easy, but driving to work, took a sip of coffee and hot coffee came dripping out of the area between where the top screws onto the bottle and the base of the top. Now im just using an old Kleen Kanteen screw on lid which works great for keeping it hot and in the bottle, but I cant sip from it. I have lots of big HF bottles I use for cold water, but this bottle has been nothing but problems. Disappointed because unlike the KK twist top hot beverage cap, this HF actually doesnt leak if it falls over as long as the snap top is closed all the way and you have a good seal. |

This one lives on my bathroom sink as a constant reminder that I need to drink 16oz of water the moment I get up to hydrate my body. It’s that simple. Normally 16oz would be much too small, but in this case, it’s just the right amount of water to slam just like a fratboy doing tequila shots would… the well stuff, not the top-shelf stuff. Clearly.It’s attractive, it’s slim, and it’s sturdy enough for those times I knock it off the sink and it slams into the toilet seat. The straight interior walls and minimal protruding lip size make it easy to clean the inside, unlike my 64oz.Again, it’s a luxurious purchase. It’s excessive and unnecessary. But it’s a wonderful way to get my first 16oz of water in in the morning. |
