I didn’t get the hype until I left ice in the “car bottle” in my car, all day, on a 98 degree day, and came back to find that the ice was STILL there. These have never leaked on me, though if you fill these straw ones up too high and push the lid on too hard, you’ll get your own bellagio fountain show through the straw, but just don’t do that. Would highly recommend! |
| Color | While this tumbler is very sleek and looked like it had potential, it has a fatal flaw. I don’t like that there is no way to close the hole that you drink out of. First of all my coffee wasn’t kept hot for nearly as long as the description said it would and i feel like that is due to the fact that heat is escaping from the hole. The open hole also leaves the tumblr prone to spillage. I had put it in the cupholder of my backpack and when i went to pick up my backpack it spilled all down my leg. And lastly, I feel like it is also prone for dust and whatever else to get inside the cup throughout the length of the day. Will be returning for sure and trying a yeti instead. |

I don’t like that different colors cost different prices and come from different sellers, but buying from Amazon was the only way to get free shipping without spending a lot more at the official Hydro Flask store.If you’re worried about counterfeits, there’s a lot of information on the internet, but even a wide-mouth bottle I got directly from Hydro Flask failed a couple of the tests. Best test so far is checking the size and type of writing on the bottom of the cup, otherwise checking writing inside the label, languages on the label, presence of trademark logo, how it’s packaged, etc., will all drive you crazy.So it’s a nice splurge, but don’t kid yourself that you’re saving the planet if you’re not going to 100% just use reusable cups and take them with you (Covid allowing) for use in restaurants and all that. And if you’re looking at a whole cabinet of unused cups and mugs and not donating them that’s not helping either.
