| Dimensions | I’ll start off by saying that my first bottle I received came dented because Amazon sent it in a yellow bubble wrap envelope, should have been a box, none the less it got returned and I got a new one within 2 days! My main use for this bottle is to make a protein shake in the morning for breakfast at work and then continue using it the rest of the day for just ice water. The metal bottle itself is very nice and similar to a Hydro Flask, but the lid could use some work. The lock is a nice added feature and the lid has not one, but two rubber o-rings, one where it screws down to the bottle (it has a pull tab to remove easily), and one on the lid flap itself where you drink out of. I would have rather had a rubber seal built into the lid where the metal bottle connects because not only would you not have to clean it by pulling it out completely cause moisture couldn’t go behind it, but it would probably last much longer and I think they had to add a second seal where you drink out of because of the lock. I would have liked to have seen an insulated lid instead of this clear plastic, cause I’m not trying to look at my drink, I’m trying to drink something cold. I filled the bottle up completely with water after cleaning the bottle with soap and water and shook it as hard as I could with both hands upside down over my sink filled with water to easily see if it leaks, I got a very very very small amount of water drops which I think are mainly coming out from the lock mechanism, which could have been from when I washed it. I hate having a sweaty bottle so this is definitely an upgrade, they just need to make a better lid/more options. I’ll update this if things change. |

The gross smell (I’m sure many are familiar) of old liquefied protein powder had absorbed into the plastic itself. Soaking it in vinegar and detergent for days did nothing.About this one. Leak proof. The lid’s cap has a rubber stopper (instead of being entirely hard plastic) and easily slides into the spout, along with a push-release and locking mechanism. The lid itself has transparent sections so you can see the contents of the bottle. The rounded base improves mixing and also makes it easier to clean.The only reason I took off one star is because after removing the sticker around the bottle, I had to use Goo Gone to remove the sticky residue left on the surface. Highly annoying and I wish companies would stop putting crappy stickers on their products. I’ve also read from other reviews that BlenderBottle does not warranty its products when purchased through amazon, which is pretty scummy. |
| Color | I tend to avoid insulating beverage containers like these because their lids generally contain rubber gaskets and crevices. The gaskets dry out over time and the crevices are hard to reach and clean. This lid uses rubber gaskets, as well, but contains relatively few hard-to-reach crevices. Time will tell how well the lid, these gaskets, and my ability to clean it holds up. The vacuum sealed double-walled insulation is great, though. Keeps my drinks cold for hours.10/05/21 Update:As I feared, the rubber lining around the part of the lid used to open and close the mouth of the bottle has accumulated a lot of mold and/or dirt. Some of it is embedded into the rubber, so I can’t scrub it off without damaging the rubber. I’ve cleaned this on a regular basis, but the can’t get all the dark crud out. I’ve thrown out the bottle. I’m never buying anything with rubber linings again. It’s the same problem with any of these types of linings. |

I use it to mix my kachava protein shakes for workouts. I use it as a water vessel at the gym. It keeps my large smoothies cold. The exterior is still pristine despite being banged up (not abused but normal wear and tear). And the interior has never become smelly, moldy, or mildewy. I clean it as soon as I’m done but if I leave it a few hours it cleans up really easily…So far it’s been one of my better investments. I didn’t want plastic and I didn’t care for any of the glass options out there. After seeing this and the Radian, I opted for this one as it has less crevices for gunk to accumulate.Things I like:- size is versatile for mixing different things/amounts- outside texture is nice, aesthetically pleasing and serves the purpose of grip with shaking- curved interior – less powder stuck, easy cleaning- steel – obv healthier than plastic, easy to clean, no harboring odors if you get lazy with cleaning- lock – very nice no spill/leak, although I just keep it in my office for now (liquid breakfast kA’chava!).- versatile.
