| Model Number | I gave this as a gift. The recipient (my teen nephew) reported that the paint began to chip on it and the design began to wear off. I’ve purchased HydroFlasks for my daughter and nieces and nephews before. The quality has always been top notch. I paid almost $45 for this HydroFlask. I am wondering if it was a knock-off, since it is the newest that I purchased but did not last even a month. It’s too late to return it. I’m highly disappointed in this purchase/seller. | Color | Honestly I hesitated to buy this product because it was so expensive but in the end it has been so worth it! I prefer chilled water so this is perfect! It is easy to clean and has not been defective in any way so far. I’ve had it for a few months and I would recommend it to anyone who asks. I will say though that the opening is not big enough to fit a sponge in and hand wash it, but you can still thoroughly clean it by rinsing it with hot water and soap. It is surprisingly light to carry and has made me drink more water in general. I’ve never put hot drinks in the hydro flask but when I fill the water bottle and put a good amount of ice in it, my drink stays freezing cold and there is usually ice still at the bottom. I would say the insulation works for maybe 12 hours at most, from my experience but that is way better than I expected. I take it with me everywhere and refill constantly! |
| Material | I ordered this after I lost my last hydroflask. I liked it at first but after a week I can already tell the ice isn’t staying frozen more than a few hours. I found my older hydroflask and upon comparing them, the one I bought here is visibly smaller and thinner than the one I bought straight from hydroflask. It works fine as an average water bottle, but it’s not a true hydroflask. Just spend the extra $5 and order straight form hydroflask.com. It also leaks a lot if you leave it on it’s side, so that’s something to think about. |
| Power Source | I bought this June of 2019. I knew there was the risk of getting a “fake”. I read all reviews. I looked at all the pictures. But I needed a water bottle. So I took the chance and bought this anyways. I got in next day and I could tell right away that that this one was in fact a “fake” but I tried It out anyways. I must have gotten lucky with the one I got. I put ice with water and ice didn’t melt away until a little over 24 hours. This is after multiple refills of water later. even after ice melted completely my water was still ice cold. Never had issues with lid or straw. Fast forward to Jan 2020. My bottle is still going strong and still keeping my water ice cold. So I guess it’s hit or miss and yes, bottle might be “fake” but my “fake bottle has been doing very well and going strong and has not failed me at all! I do plan on buying a couple more just for color options. If you don’t want the risk of not getting an actual bottle. Order from the actual site or go to the store. |
