This fit the factory holder, with a judicious application of foam spacers. And, yeah, it fits the wider bottle. The good stops there, however.- Rotated forward, the weight of the 20oz bottle is almost enough to cause the base to pop out of the OEM drink holder.- The jaws ratchet in and out individually. With the top rotated back over the OEM holder, so as to not cause it to pop out, a hard stop, turn, or acceleration (not a panic stop, or anything too squirrely) the weight off the full bottle causes it to lean, and the jaws will ratchet loose. They do not lock in place, and as such they do not _hold_ the bottle. They’re more of a suggestion than anything.- On some hard turns it will still try to rotate forward, thereby causing the base to pop out of the OEM holder.Overall, it works, at a standstill. Would not rely on it while in motion, at all. It’s just not sturdy, robust, or able to remotely deal with Newton’s 2nd law of motion.Like many cheap, Chinese products, this appears to be sold under several brand names. I’d not trust any one of them to be better than this one. |

You have to grip the top and that can make lids pop off. Especially Starbucks cups because their lids pop off easily. The shifter is also in the way, even when in drive.I was leery to try this, because some say it didn’t fit, but it fits my car just fine. It came with a bunch of sticky pads. I put a few inside the upper cup holder just for cushion, and the rest around the base. This gave it a snug fit in my cup holder. I put marbles in the bottom holder for extra weight, and I have some pens and my badge in there. The upper holder swings out easily but with a sturdy click so it stays where you put it. On the rare occasion I have a passenger it would be easy to move it out of the way.Just having that bit of height and the ability to swing your cup out makes a world of difference! I think it’s much safer because now I don’t have to glance down or worry about my precious coffee spilling 😄 |
