I assume it’s not supposed to come out since there is a mechanism to lift the lid for pouring but now there is basically a hole at the top of the bottle which means water spills out anytime the bottle tips over. Worse is when the bottle is in my backpack and I lean over to pick something else and get a shoulder full of water.
