But, if you don’t have a lid or a top on your drink of choice( and even if you do, like the coffee lids with a sip hole), it will bump, vibrate, and spill it all over the place. I mean, it’s a Jeep, and they’re not known for a soft, smooth suspension. So, for a cola, with the lid on, no problems…..but a cup of coffee, with no top or lid, good luck with that! |

My only issue is finding a mug that fits perfectly.My 20oz Yeti sat loosely in the top section, bounced around a bit, but did ok (I turned the spout toward the window so it wouldn’t spill). A lid that slides shut would be better. This is still a much better solution than holding a drink in my lap…The large Sonic cup in the picture did fit through the bottom section, but didn’t sit all the way down in the holder. It did sit tightly in the holder which was excellent. No spills with a full drink with the lid on. The best fit of the 3. I’ve got NO problem admitting that plastics have been proven in some cases superior to steel but in this case you really can’t torque down the mounting bolts that the holder uses. Honestly, I expected a cup holder for a Jeep sold by this company to be metal. They did a great job of making it look like it though. |
| Material | i like just like most people thought it was metal, it’s plastic and seems very easy to break. why not make them out of metal? also these only fit skinny 16 oz soda and water bottles or 12 oz cans. most water and soda bottles are 20oz or larger. they wont fit. i end up searching the convenience store coolers for skinny drink bottles that will fit and that leaves me not finding many options. they need to change the design so it fits the most popular size bottles. |
