| Model Number | I was super excited to get to my first Yeti. So I cleaned it and put 2 long ice cubes and filled with water for the gym the next day. I placed it in the fridge. The next morning I opened it to see the ice had melted and was not cold at all!!! It did keep the temperature from the fridge from going in which is a good thing if I leave it in the car but defeats the purpose for ice.Since gym is outside in the parking lot my yeti looks like I’ve had it for a year from setting it down on the ground. It tipped over once (not from a high height either) and there’s an obvious dent. So it’s not durable as I thought.On the bottom it states “designed in Texas made in China” idk if that makes a difference.I bought a lower end water cooler at Target and it held on to the ice for a day and a half!!! |
| Color | There are lots of reviews. I just want to counter one criticism that I saw before buying. I read more than one review that referred to the two parts of the chug cap as twisting in the same direction, which made it hard to open one without opening the other. What I’ve noticed is that the first cap (threads into the bottle and has then opening to drink) requires more rotations to screw on than the (second cap that has the handle). The second cap just requires a twist to remove while the first cap requires multiple twists. The incline of the threads and the friction of the threads are different. They both close securely and you can hold the whole bottle by the handle/top without worrying about it coming apart.But, the second top (with the handle) twists off easier. When they have both started coming apart, I give the handle a quick counter-clockwise turn to tighten and then a clockwise twist and the second top / handle come off while leaving the first cap / spout securely in place.I presume this was intentional engineering. An it is genius. |

Every hydro flask and hydro flask imitation I be owned has those gaskets that are extremely hard to clean and are down right nasty and is a breeding ground for bacteria and mold. This also feels much better quality then hydro flask. Hydro flask failed me I dropped it and then it smelled like rotten eggs. Really weird. Anyhow this is the winner the design is awesome. Spend a little more then u would on a hydro flask and get this! |
