| Dimensions | First the part that works great: The base allows you to extend it by twisting it until it’s the right size to fit in your cupholder. In my F-150 pickup I had to expand it all the way, and then the base fit nicely. The problem was that when I put my 32 oz. Nalgene bottle into the top part, it was so tight that when I lifted the bottle out the entire holder came right out with it. I don’t have a cover on my bottle; the holder was just too tight for it. But there’s an easy solution! I used a really sharp pair of scissors and cut out the little rubber flaps flush with the top of the holder, leaving only about ⅛” on one of them. Now my bottle slides in and out easily and the holder stays put. |
| Model Number | I love everything about these cup holders except the price. I saved them to my list to buy as gifts for family. They are amazing. However they are not worth the price, maybe $10 each but not $25. The rubber tabs will wear down over time and water bottles will woble around and that will suck, but for now I love it. Lets see if the tabs last a year… I did not buy one for my wife’s car bc the price is too high and she doesn’t want it that bad. China will make cheaper ones someday and they will be in Walmart for $10 and then maybe I will get her one and she won’t get mad at that price. Maybe make rubber replacement rings for the future- FYI. As gifts I will pay the $25 for a cool/different item for my family, but you are loosing out on sales to have 2 of them on my boat, 2 for my golf cart and 2 for my other car 😦 That’s 6 lost sales. Now what if my friends were on my boat and golfcart as they ussually are, and they saw them, sales would increase as well, so the price is really hurting you bad in referrals also. | Color | I love these 2 cup holder expanders! I bought a new Kia Telluride SUV which I absolutely love except for the front console cupholders. They don’t really accommodate any cups with handles – the handles block the other cupholder from holding a handled cup. Plus the SUV cupholders are deep & it’s awkward grabbing a Yeti style cup. I almost spilled a 30 oz beverage in my brand new vehicle so I looked around for something to raise the cups up with plenty of room for wider cups or handles. These were by far the most expensive but well worth the investment bc they exceeded my expectations by a long shot! They lift up every travel cup I own & hold very securely with no rattling, including my fav cup which is a Yeti cup (with House Targaryen etching) that has a big handle. To make the base larger to fit into wider cup holders, you just rotate the bottom & these “fins” pop out. They have rubber edging so they are very secure in the cupholder & don’t pop up. To remove from cupholder, you just unscrew & rotate in opposite direction. I like big cups with handles to prevent spills. I’ve never gone to such effort in posting a review with captioned photos but this purchase deserved it. The packaging was really top notch, too. I highly recommend these — would make a great gift, too. |

So why the 5-star review? It is because it is a truly excellent product. Made well, sturdy and absolutely as described. Not one thing about it is not as represented. My application was to use this for a after-market center console area in my pickup. I have been struggling to find one that sits between the seats and will hold my cups, etc. The one I went with worked for the storage and organization, but the cup holders would not fit a standard Contigo coffee mug. I opted for these extenders as they had a wide range of diameter sizes of drink bases. These do just that.I asked for answers from the Amazon community as to if these would work for Contigo’s base and wish to thank all that responded. They will work, but only due to the rubber tabs. Those allow the Contigo to sit secure and not wobble.These expand tightly into the original base, but the downside is that the upper portion is too wide to place them side by side in the original car caddy. That is not the fault of these extenders and I highly, HIGHLY recommend these to anyone interested in a larger cup holder for their vehicle. They are stylish and will fit anything from 3 inch diameter up to the full advertised 30 oz size drink cup or bottle. I will figure out my starting caddy base issues, but I will definitely use these. As the base caddy has two separated sections with cup holders, I may opt to alternate as I am often in the vehicle solo.The base distance to keep in mind if you are looking at a pair is your starting centerline must be more than five inches apart, when measured on center, to allow for the spacing of two side-by-side, as the outside top dimension of these cup extenders is just under 4-7/8 inches.
