| Dimensions | First off, I loved this water bottle when I first got it. Great capacity, keeps water cold all day, just feels like a nice product. The reason I’m giving it two stars is because I’ve taken very good care of it and after 6 months of use, it’s rusting from the inside, and Yeti’s warranty won’t cover “breakdown of materials over time”. Not something I expect to see from a $40 bottle. I’ll be switching to a different brand for my next bottle, I suggest you do the same if you want something that lasts. |

It doesn’t keep anything cold for as long as it’s supposed to. Ice melts in it within 4 hours. Having learned my lesson, I went to REI to purchase a real Yeti. To compare, the REI Yeti keeps ice over night and the water is still nice and cold. Lesson learned, won’t buy a Yeti from Amazon. |

The other 3 colors are sold by someone other than “YETI Authorized”. Those could very well be fake.SIZE – I’m a woman with small hands. I wear a Small in gender-neutral gloves. This cup has a nearly 11-inch circumference. My hand reaches about halfway around it, making it uncomfortable to hold while drinking. I’ll be downsizing to the 18-ounce bottle and giving this one to a family member.I ordered the brick red color and it’s great. I was looking for something to take on vacation to keep frozen drinks cold on the beach. I tested a Tervis first and small ice cubes in the cup did not remain for more than an hour in a 73-degree office. The YETI had ice at the end of a 9-hour day in the same environment. I even placed it next to a cup warmer for a few hours.Anecdotally, I first saw a YETI cup at a family reunion. A cousin got a slushie on the way to the reunion. It was 95 degrees in July. After a few hours, she got her YETI cup out of the hot car and the slushie was THICKER than when she got it. That’s what made me think of the YETI when I was looking for a beach cup for frozen drinks. |
| Material | You may read this review and think how the heck can you give a Yeti water bottle two stars… well here is why. I’ve had a hydroflask for 3 years, only reason I gave it up was because I lost it. Sooo I tried this one. Bad move. First of all, putting the lid on this bottle takes a lot more turns than my previous bottle. Sometimes as I’m screwing the lid on I think “is this thing on yet”. Previous bottle was easier to screw the cap on. Second, if you have a full water bottle and you take the lid off – the water sticks to the cap and goes everywhere. Third, the cap is not attached to the bottle so it can be separated/lost easily in my opinion. A little rubber hook/loop to connect to the bottle would have been nice. Especially for $40. Now; the one thing this bottle does better than my previous – is keep temperature. This part they nailed. The second thing I love about this bottle is the “over the nose” design. This is the only reason I didn’t return it. The fact that I can drink out of it without my nose hitting the other side of the bottle is key. Great design! Such a close model to the best water bottle. Almost there. If you can put aside the slight spilling, long screws to attach the lid, this is the bottle for you… |
