I am ordering another pair to have four hooks in total. I have a family of 7 people (yes… 7 people in total when I drive). My younger sisters love that they can hang their purses or jackets and sit comfortably in the car.Like some people have said, this product doesn’t fit every single car, however, I like that my hooks provide a slight gap. The reason being is that I have leather seats. I have bought plastic hooks for my mom’s Lexus years ago. The plastic hooks I had before were tight on the back of the seat (which looked nice) but would sometimes leave markings or scratches on the leather. Sometimes when you are rushing or not paying attention, your bag could scuff the back of the seat.This is just a personal preference (from having bad experience before). I would rather have that slight gap to prevent the back of my leather seats from getting scratched.I hope this review helped! |

It’s just not designed great. In order to keep it from lift up I’d have to bend the but that’s not going to happen. Going to return them. Really was hoping they would fit and work just right.Despite all this, they responded immediately with deep apologizes and refunded my money within just a few days. My vehicle has a very wide top, as the headrest posts are placed wider on one side on the top of the seat, so I needed to bend one of these a bit to make it lay somewhat flatter for using on the front seat for holding a purse strap or a handle grocery bag. The backside use of the second holder works just fine. Overall, I like these holders and they look nice and will do the job, versus using a plastic one that eventually will break with time, as most hard plastic does, if too heavy and object if hung from them. |

My purse, when sitting shot gun, constantly rolls off or around in the seat cuz my car’s seat is hard and flat. Everything spills over and it ticks me off like no end! If I put it on the floor behind the passenger seat, I have hard time getting to it if I need access to it–which is why I generally like to have it next to me.There isn’t a whole lot of selection for car hooks. The plastic ones I saw, while able to be hidden, took up a lot of space underneath the headrest, and looked cheap. I saw these leather ones that were better looking but you can’t hide it when you’re not using it; however, I don’t really need to and it doesn’t stick out too much either.It looks decently made but it’s not exactly a complicated product to construct. The metal itself seems sturdy but flexible enough and the leather and stitching look nice. The hook where I’d hook my purse handles is a bit narrow but it works okay enough. The best thing is its slimness. I only had to raise the headrest a little bit to hook around the metal bars.My purses tend to be medium to large sized and I am one of those women that has everything but the kitchen sink in it so I wasn’t sure how the product would hold up since my purses weight at least 5-10 pounds. When I put my purse on it, it definitely sinks into the seat itself and I was worried it’d dig in too much but so far, it’s not damaging or affecting the seat, which is a relief. So the metal insert is, as I said, sturdy but has some flexibility to it so that it doesn’t dig into the seat.Because the hook onto the headrest is open (which makes for no-brainer installation), it doesn’t lock like some of the other versions out there. I was worried it’d fall off if I was in a rush and getting my purse off the hook but I haven’t had any issues though it does go askew a lot. That’s because the thickness of the product is thick enough that when I try to create a more secure platform for the hook by pressing the headrest, it won’t go down so there is a tiny gap, and hence, why it moves around a lot.But, ultimately, this product does what it’s supposed to do. It looks nice and isn’t obvious. Wasn’t expensive, and decently constructed. I do wish it’d come in other colors, like light grey/silver or even tan, to match my car seats a little better but that’s a small issue for functionality. |
