| Dimensions | I have six kids and I’m not into washing 100 cups a day so my kids use water bottles almost exclusively. I have been on the hunt for years for a durable, leak proof water bottle, and this is by far the best one I’ve found.1. Durability. I also prefer not to buy 50 water bottles a year, so durable is a must. My kids have used these water bottles daily for five months now. And my children are not always as gentle as I would like. They all have minor dents in them. One has a major dent. One is cracking at the top and when submerged, water fills the part between in inner layer and the outer layer. But they all still have plenty of life in them! I am also very impressed with how well the paint is holding up. It’s coming off in some places, but overall they still look good. The only other water bottle we’ve had that came even close in the durability department in the Klean Kanteen bottles. But their paint chipped of fairly quickly. I also appreciate that the spout as are hard plastic. No amount of biting will mess up the spouts.2. Leakproof. They are still leak proof *when used properly*. If the spout is up and the bottle is laying on its side, it will leak. With the spout down it does not leak at all.Those are the two main factors for me. But bonus points for the variety of cute designs.There’s not much I would change about these bottles. The only con in my opinion is that they are loud (and can hurt your toes) when dropped. But that is true of any steel water bottle.Great water bottles overall! I’m very pleased. |
| Model Number | I bought three of these with the straw lid for my kids for Christmas. This water bottle has very cute designs, and my kids were excited to see them. However, I wish I would’ve looked closely at these before presenting them. The lids will be full of mildew in no time. There is no way to separate any of the parts to clean the cracks and crevices, and the silicone is completely housed underneath plastic. The Simple Modern care video shows how to clean the bottle, which is worthless information. The only care tips for the lids is to put it in the dishwasher. But if you’re like me, I do not put plastic in dishwashers or microwaves for health reasons. There is another leak proof lid design but it would not work for my preschooler and toddler. There’s also no indication that that lid will have removable gaskets. That’s my biggest issue. My second issue is that pressure builds up in the straw so it shoots out water sometimes. Also, water doesn’t drain back down the straw so even when closed, some water leaks out. For the price of this bottle, I’m extremely disappointed. |
| Color | My husband and I have large 40oz bottles. Our two toddlers LOVE to take them and drink from them, which is all fine if you do not mind whatever gunk or food they just had on your straw. We however, do not like sharing our kids lovely backwash, so after going through all the standard sippy cups, I finally decided to get them their own thermos water bottles. Seriously one of the best purchases. Water stays nice and cold even without ice and they are STURDY. My kids drop these bottles and they are fine! Take the straw out, throw the lid and bottle in the dishwasher and you’re good. I would recommend these as an alternative to the much price insulated water bottles you can purchase. |

| Power Source | I love these water bottles and have purchased several for myself so I decided it was time to get my kids their own so they’ll stop getting their kid germs all over mine. I was so excited to see that my daughters bottle came today but upon opening it, I realized it was not the bottle I had ordered. She 2as supposed to get the 14oz dinosaur roar bottle but ended up getting the 10oz solar system one. She’s 3 and hardly cared but I had paid for and expected something slightly larger with a vastly different print on it. I’ve contacted simply modern and am waiting to hear back and will update it once I do. Aside from the mix up, I LOVE these bottles. They keep drinks cold for hours and have really helped my family consume more water on a daily basis. They’re relatively spill proof but if you keep the straw open they you’re bound to have spillage. They’re extremely durable and will keep your water cold for hours. I often leave mine in the car and even with the sun beating down on it for hours, I come back to cool water. It’s definitely worth purchasing! I only took a star off because of the mix up.Update:Customer service got back to me and they we so quick and kind! Definitely worth the money I’ve spent on their bottles! |
