| Dimensions | Installs easily without much fuss, as the width setting is adjustable. Once in place it feels like it will stay there firmly. You wouldn’t think that adding an extra 2 square cubbies would make such a big difference to your convenience while driving but it really does! While taking up 1 cupholder, it adds 2 spaces – if you drive alone its a non issue – and the spaces it adds are easier to use than the cupholder it replaces because they are square in shape, roomier, slotted for easy reach of objects inside such as phone or sanitizer or other items, plus can still double as a cupholder in a pinch. |
| Model Number | The good news: this is a well built, sturdy product and a great idea for adding a second cup holder where you need one. The bad news: it is clearly intended for use in a very deep, very narrow cup well which unfortunately was not what I had to work with. It was much too tall and narrow (even when adding all of the rubber gaskets provided), so to make it work we ended up shortening it by cutting it on a band saw and then we created a little support for the extended section to prevent it from wobbling side to side. That’s a lot of modifications for something so expensive. We made it work but I have to say we felt a little silly paying so much for something that needed major surgery before we could use it. A fair price for this is about half of what it costs–it’s plastic, for pete’s sake. Good quality plastic, but still… its a plastic cup holder. |
