| Dimensions | I love my large hydroflask for the summer, but I drink a lot of tea at work in the winter, so I wanted a better to-go mug for that. This works better than any other similar mugs I have. I would say it keeps my tea the perfect temperature for 3 hours, but warm most of the work day. I just make it strong and then add more hot hot water later in the day to get it to the right temperature again. (but if you make it too hot it will never cool down). The bottle is great, love the size and silver color is nice, it has held up well using it almost every day for the past month. The lid, like all travel mug lids, is not perfect. It is mostly leak proof when closed… I wouldn’t leave it upside down, but I can tip it or put it upside down with no leaks. However, when I open it, it splashes a little. It also gets wet at the top side of the lid sometimes from opening and closing, and drips down the side and onto my hand. But I like that the lid is simple enough to not have too many parts that just get mildew like some of my other ones. Overall, worth the price if you will be using it frequently, and will be using it through the day, not just to avoid spilling in the car. |
| Model Number | We’ve used Hydroflask exclusively for the last four years, and I am getting rid of all of them. They are well made with quality material but the caps are terrible. Every cap leaks and I’ve bought replacement caps which then start leaking after two months. I only handwash the bottle and cap. Completely unacceptable when you pay this much $$ for a water bottle. There is a small silicone plug that keeps it from leaking, and if that comes out, you’re out of luck. The replacement caps are way too expensive. I would look elsewhere. |

At the same time as the first purchase, I’d gotten the same color and size for my friend, and hers works perfectly. My flask was stolen recently, so I purchased a second, thinking perhaps mine had been defective. To my surprise, this second one works very well, keeps liquids hot for much longer than an hour. My biggest issue with all the flasks is they do leak despite the gasket under the lid. This is due to a design flaw in the flip top part of the lid. There may be some inconsistencies in manufacturing, but the world can be an imperfect place. |
